I had a similar experience as others mentioned. I had used cyberlink power director 12 for about 18 months for small projects with no problem.

Unfortunately, when I went to use it for a feature film, just as I finished the first assembly, a virus or something seems to have corrupted the project. My footage is fine, and the program is fine, but not together. The forums are useless. And I paid for "premium phone support" but like others have said, their tech support knows nothing about the program, or filmmaking.

I call, ask for supervisors of supervisors, I get back a form letter that says the same worthless response from 2 weeks prior. I talked to them daily for 6 weeks and they never even tried to fix it. So I've mostly lost my last 6 months of work, and will have to start from scratch. So they've put me a year behind schedule and I have no resolution, other than they gave me my money back for the "support".

Class action suit?

Anyone? it's a racket.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $2000.

Preferred solution: new listings saying to NOT use for feature films, fix my computer, fix customer service, and pay me $2000 so I can either buy new software or hire an editor.

Cyberlink Pros: Using the product for short projects.

Cyberlink Cons: Tech support.

Cyberlink is dead.

No longer is it anything more than an on-line money pit. There is no customer service. They do not return your emails or answer the ticket request. I too purchased several versions of their software.

When PowerDirector 15 was reloaded on my machine, it kept crashing. It would not run at all. When I tried to go back to PD 14, my PD 14 key no longer worked.

Cyberlink is a total overseas scam and I truly URGE anyone considering the purchase of this product to NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM CYBERLINK!

Let the buyer beware...or in this case informed. CYBERLINK IS A SCAM. To have no-one even answer my 2 e-mails is unacceptable. Totally unacceptable.

If I could find somewhere to post a review where EVERYONE could see it, I would. For now, I only have this forum.

Same problem here. I bought the phone support and did nothing for me but sent me an email a few days later to sent a bunch of stuff to their FTP site yet the link was incorrect.

They sent two different links yet neither work. It takes a few days for them to even respond via email. Phone support is worthless.

The movie playback glitch of skipping video and sound is awful, you can't edit properly. This is killing me with the hours I have put in a project that is now over due, not to mention the hours of wasted time trying to get the problem resolved!!!!
